Beit el Baraka is a non-profit organization established in Beirut with the mission to ensure a sense of dignity to hard-working citizens once they retire, by assisting them in their struggle with the increasing cost of living
Maya Chams Ibrahimchah, founder and president of Beit el Baraka is committed to ensuring special care and assistance to the most disadvantaged retired citizens, and to provide the same opportunities for a better life with no discrimination or favoritism.
With that in mind Beit el Baraka launched a supermarket from which retired citizens can acquire items they need free of charge. The organization also offers to restore apartments for free and cover rents and utilities, medical treatments.
Beit el Baraka helps 328 Lebanese families of struggling retirees.
