INGREDIENTS |
- 6 green apples (granny smith)
- 2 large eggs
- 80g sugar
- 25g salted butter
- 80g flour
- 100ml heavy cream
- 12g baking powder
- A pinch of powdered cinnamon
- 1 whole zest lemon
- 3 tbsp. flakes almond
- 2 tbsps. powdered icing sugar
PREPARATION |
- Mix eggs and sugar, add the cream in center then the melted butter. Add sifted flour with baking powder and cinnamon. Mix well.
- Peel and core the apples cut in half. Using a mandolin, cut the apples quite thinly or use a knife, gently mix the apples into the mixtures without breaking them than coat the slices.
- Line a spring form cake with parchment b paper on the bottom, grease the sides and bottom with lots of butter. Place the apple mixture into the cake pan and firmly press down as you flatten sprinkle some almond flakes on top
- Bakes for 40min at 170 °C than remove and let it to cool down for one hour.
- Dust with some powdered sugar on top and let to cool down again, completely, than it’s ready to slice.
