ATLANTIS THE ROYAL HAS LAUNCHED THE UAE’S FIRST EMIRATI AFTERNOON TEA EXPERIENCE
The Royal Tearoom at Atlantis The Royal has partnered with one of the region’s leading pastry chefs, Christophe Devoille, to launch the UAE’s first Emirati afternoon tea experience, as well as a traditional afternoon tea offering.
At the ultra-luxury resort’s exquisite main lobby, guests can indulge in a sophisticated and opulent afternoon tea experience. Created by renowned pastry chef Christophe, the tea features a selection of savory delicacies and pastries, meticulously crafted with the finest ingredients.
There are two options available: the Emirati Afternoon Tea and the Signature Afternoon Tea. The Emirati Afternoon Tea, priced at AED 440 for two people, offers a unique assortment of Arabic pastries, including Luqaimat, Sago with cardamom and toasted coconut, and Khanfaroosh drizzled in local mountain honey. A decadent Halawet El Jibn, with ashta cheese, rose water, pistachio, and amarena cherry, is also served table-side.
For AED 560, two people can enjoy the Signature Afternoon Tea, which includes a refined stand of scones, finger sandwiches, and pastries. The savory options feature delights like a candy tomato tart with ricotta pannacotta, an organic egg mimosa, and smoked turkey with black truffle. The pastry assortment includes treats like chocolate and almond cake, lemon and tarragon tartlet, and fluffy scones.
In addition to the afternoon tea, Chef Christophe has curated a Royal Tearoom menu, sourcing the finest and rarest ingredients from around the world. This menu features homemade chocolate bars, chocolate bonbons, and handcrafted Arabic sweets, including Ash El Bilbul Cashew and Baklawa variations. The pastry counter offers over 30 types of tea, including the rare yellow tea, along with 16 homemade pastries and a variety of croissants, danishes, and brioches, all expertly made by Chef Christophe’s skilled team.
Some of the signature desserts at The Royal Tearoom include the visually stunning Vanilla and Blueberry Water Droplet, featuring a vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free, and nut-free composition. Another highlight is the Date Cake, shaped like a large date and showcasing a combination of sponge, confit, marmalade, cream, and date syrup. Other favorites include the Berries and Lavender Tart, Caramelised Apple Tatin, and Vanilla and Caramel Millefeuille.
Chef Christophe’s culinary journey has taken him to various prestigious establishments worldwide, refining his skills and expertise.
