My journey started with a deep appreciation for both food and cultural storytelling. Growing up, I was fascinated by how food could bring people together and express our heritage. This curiosity led me to explore the realms of molecular gastronomy and food artistry. One of my earliest and boldest creations was combining Jordan’s iconic ingredient, jameed, with white chocolate. This surprising blend challenged traditional boundaries and demonstrated how we can innovate while respecting our roots.
Absolutely. One project very close to my heart is creating a chocolate inspired by Saudi culture, which we’re launching in September. This project blends traditional flavors with modern techniques, aiming to encapsulate the richness of Saudi heritage in a unique way. Another exciting venture is the “Fast Seven” dinner show. This is an immersive dinner theater experience where I transform iconic fast-food items into elevated fine dining dishes, served in a luxurious setting. Both projects reflect my belief in challenging the status quo and using food as a medium to share and celebrate our culture on a global scale.
Innovation is at the heart of everything I do. It’s about pushing boundaries and exploring how far we can take our traditions into the future. For me, innovation isn’t just about creating new flavors but also about crafting experiences that resonate deeply with people. By presenting our dishes in novel ways, we can elevate our cuisine and invite the world to fall in love with our culture. It’s about honoring our past while daring to redefine how it’s experienced today.
My motivation stems from a profound passion for my culture and a desire to share it with the world. I want people to see, taste, and feel our stories through the dishes I create. Each project is an opportunity to bring a piece of our heritage to a global audience, inviting them to experience it through our eyes and palates. The idea that food can serve as a universal language that bridges gaps and fosters understanding is what keeps me inspired and driven.
I was always told not to play with my food… HOW WRONG WERE THEY!
My dream is for the whole world to experience our food through our own eyes and palates and to listen to our stories. I hope that through my work, people everywhere can appreciate and fall in love with the beauty of our culture. It’s about creating a shared experience that celebrates and preserves our heritage. I can’t wait for everyone to experience our upcoming projects!
