BOHEMIAN SPRING
Against the backdrop of Dubai’s Al Barari botanic haven, Maya Toubia Jabbour creates a dreamlike outdoor setting for quality time to enjoy great food with family and friends
THE INSPIRATION
I was inspired by the ‘Boho’ chic fashion that is back with plenty of vibrant, vivid colors and patterns.
THE FLOWERS
The plan was to place individual flowers in bottles and small vases. I used orange orchids, orange ranunculus, fuchsia roses and a mix of orange and bright pink bougainvillea plants.
THE SETTING
I mixed informal patterns and layers of colored fabric to reflect the free-spirited Bohemian mood.
THE ACCESSORIES
Tailor-made cutlery, gold, black and rose-gold-plated. Creative and specifically designed plates that are out of the ordinary. Colored accessories are rarely used really, but change the whole approach.
