EM SHERIF RECEIVES LEBANESE ACADEMY OF GASTRONOMY AWARD
LAG nominated Em Sherif in Rue Monot for a special prize titled, ‘Grand Prix Special pour l’acceuil et la Tradition’ for its exceptional setting, personalized reception/service, which innovated and revolutionized the art of hospitality in Lebanese restaurants
The Lebanese Academy of Gastronomy, L.A.G., member of the International Academy of Gastronomy, is a non-profit association founded in 1994. Concerned about the world reputation of Lebanese cuisine, the L.A.G. promotes Lebanon and its gastronomy internally, as well as abroad and has the following objectives:
• Learn about, promote and safeguard traditional Lebanese cuisine, whether in recipes, ingredients or products
• Develop a creative, healthy and natural Lebanese cuisine, with the taste of the homeland
• Encourage the next generation of F&F specialists to emphasize the quality of Lebanese cuisine
• Help gastronomic institutions and hotel schools to continuously improve their offerings

LAG is affiliated with the International Academy of Gastronomy with about thirty-five member academies globally each retaining autonomy and management. IAG’s annual awards are designed in recognition of individuals or institutions who distinguished themselves in a specific country at a national level.
