THE LAUNCHING OF LES GLACES DU TERROIR BY CHEF CHARLES AZAR
Chez Charles Azar unveils “Les Glaces du Terroir”, a gastronomical line conceived exclusively for Le Flocon Artisan Glacier.
The innovative concept of new tastes and flavors invites clients to discover gourmet ice cream and sorbet delicacies made with local Lebanese products and in exclusive cooperation with outstanding producers.
As a start, Chef Azar chose to collaborate with Darmmess social enterprise, producer of an Early Harvest Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil, winner of the 2023 Gold Medal at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil competition, sourced exclusively from Deir Mimas village, commonly referred to as the “Bordeaux of Lebanese Olive Oils”.
Using Darmmess exceptional EVOO & green olives, chef Azar unveils an epicurean experience like no other, “La Glace à l’Huile d’Olive”.
This creation is an artisanal decadent olive oil ice-cream, made with the best olive oil in the world and packed with bright, fruity, and nutty flavors: Yoghurt based, low on sugar, mixed with olives confites and Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and topped with fleur de sel.
