In its fourth year Monocle, a global affairs and lifestyle magazine, produced by Winkontent Ltd, celebrated a clutch of restaurants in which their editors have eaten well (or enjoyed a great cocktail) and felt looked after.
Their best recent addition was Reem Azouri’s Maryool restaurant located in the heart of Beirut, it is a small but sun-drenched Middle Eastern affair with a contemporary twist. Maryool was awarded for its delicious, daily home-cooked delights and snacky sharing plates from Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen and elsewhere.
