Could you tell us a little about the inspiration behind your new pastry shop?
Being the daughter of Chef Joe Barza, I grew up surrounded by the world of culinary arts. My father taught me so much—discipline, attention to detail, and most importantly, a deep passion for my work. This passion naturally translated into my love for French pastry, which led to the creation of Nougi.
What can customers expect when they visit Nougi?
At Nougi, we offer a wide range of French pastries, including macarons, éclairs, tartes, cakes, and even breakfast options. Our aim is to bring a little piece of France to Lebanon, offering an authentic experience that delights all the senses.
What is your favorite dessert at Nougi?
That’s a tough one since all of our desserts are incredible, but if I had to pick, it would be the ‘Forêt Noire aux Cerises Amarena.’ It’s a classic, yet the presentation and garnish give it an extra special touch.
What is your philosophy / motto?
A positive mindset fuels a positive life.
What are your future plans for Nougi ?
Nougi in Lebanon is just the beginning. We’re very excited to expand our brand globally. We want to share our passion for pastry with the world, bringing the same level of craftsmanship and flavor to new markets.
