SAUDI ARABIA SHINES AS GUEST OF HONOR AT SALON DU CHOCOLAT PARIS 2024
The 29th edition of the world-renowned Salon du Chocolat will welcome Saudi Arabia as the guest of honor from October 30 to November 3, 2024.
Saudi Arabia is set to be the guest of honor at the 29th Salon du Chocolat in Paris. Running from October 30 to November 3, 2024, at Paris Expo – Porte de Versailles, this annual event is a nexus for the chocolate industry. It gathers chocolatiers, pastry chefs, confectioners, cocoa producers, brands, and influencers from around the world.
This year’s edition promises a unique experience with a strong Saudi presence. Visitors will witness live demonstrations of Saudi pastry-making techniques led by celebrated chefs Sultan Alarifi and Abdualltef Alrashoudi. Alarifi, a former banker turned culinary artist, trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. He blends financial acumen with culinary finesse. Alrashoudi, a former surgeon and founder of Lâm bakery, brings his passion for tradition and innovation to the table.
Among the event’s standout features will be the unveiling of a monumental chocolate sculpture. This piece is a tribute to Saudi Arabia’s wildlife. The two-meter-tall masterpiece, envisioned by Saudi artist Badour Al Aqidi, is crafted by master chocolatier Jean-Luc Decluzeau. It will embody the kingdom’s natural beauty and craftsmanship.
The Salon will officially kick off on October 29, 2024, with an exclusive chocolate fashion parade. The parade features dresses crafted by leading chocolatiers and designers. This glamorous event supports Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, an organization that funds life-saving surgeries for children with heart defects.
