SIAL Paris, the world’s leading food innovation exhibition, prepares for its 60th anniversary from October 19 to 23, 2024. The event will take place at the Parc des Expositions, Paris Nord Villepinte, promising a historic gathering of industry professionals, thought leaders, and decision-makers.
This milestone event celebrates both the past and the future of food. Over 7,500 exhibitors from more than 130 countries will showcase their latest innovations. Indeed, a staggering 75% of attendees will fly in from all corners of the globe.
Under the theme “Own the Change,” the exhibition inspires industry professionals to embrace ongoing transformations and tackle global food challenges. Exhibitors will highlight their CSR initiatives and expertise through SIAL Insights, SIAL Innovation, and SIAL Start-Up. The 2024 edition will feature twice as many promising start-ups.
One key highlight will be a new exhibitor booth arrangement. Organizers will group exhibitors by product type to enhance the visitor experience. With 80% of visitors expressing a preference for this organization, the new floor plan aims to make rounds more efficient.
SIAL Paris will welcome 285,000 professionals, including 8,000 major buyers with a combined purchasing power of 50 billion euros. The event offers unparalleled business opportunities and visibility and serves as a cornerstone of culinary diplomacy. Over 100 official delegations will attend.
SIAL Start-up is positioning Paris as a global FoodTech hub, fostering innovation in the food industry through a large exhibition of over 150 companies from 20 countries. Partnering with Startup Sesame, the event promotes start-ups focused on sustainable, tech-driven solutions, alternative proteins, and zero-waste initiatives. It aims to connect emerging businesses with investors, accelerators, and manufacturers to drive growth. SIAL highlights the importance of collaboration in addressing food industry challenges and offers early-stage companies a platform to showcase innovations. Featured brands include Elixr and Crushi Crunchy Sushi, with a focus on transformative technologies, such as insect-based proteins.
