INGREDIENTS |
- 1 cup Chopped pitted dates
- 1¼ cups Water
- 1½ tsp Baking soda
- ½ cup Butter
- ½ cup Oil
- ½ cup Brown sugar
- 4 Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 2 ½ cups Flour
- 2 tsp Baking powder
PREPARATION |
1. Preheat your oven to 180ºC.
2. Grease and flour a 12-cup Bundt cake pan.
3. In a saucepan, mix the dates, water and baking soda. Bring the mixture to a boil. Set aside to cool.
4. In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar and add the oil and butter.
5. Add the vanilla.
6. Whisk the baking powder in the flour and add to the egg mixture.
7. Add cooked dates and mix well.
8. Pour the cake batter into the prepared Bundt pan.
9. Bake for 50 min to an hour or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
10. Let cool slightly before serving.
